Lyle S. Poncher has been a Managing Principal of Voyager since its inception in 1997. Beginning in 1975, Mr. Poncher managed his own and his family’s investment portfolios which were substantially invested in hedge funds and real estate. In 1983, Mr. Poncher and his father, Jerry E. Poncher, formed JLK Associates, a multi-manager limited partnership which is still an active and significant investor in Voyager’s portfolios along with Poncher Investment Partners, L.P. a second family partnership formed later. Mr. Poncher serves on the Board of Trustees and is former Board President of Wildwood School in Los Angeles.  He is also a trustee of Metivta, a Los Angeles not-for-profit organization and a director of Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, CA. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1967.

 

Christopher W. Knight has been a Managing Principal of Voyager since its inception in 1997. Overall, his experience investing in funds and other alternative investments spans a period of more than 30 years. Prior to forming Voyager Management, he was the co-portfolio manager of G-K Associates, a multi manager limited partnership established for a family office. During the time he co-managed G-K Associates, Mr. Knight was also the President of The Knight Company, created in 1990 to develop and finance entertainment properties. Mr. Knight's career also includes employment by the Disney Company as a business analyst and for Griffenhagen-Kroeger as a management consultant. Mr. Knight received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1969. He received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard in 1974 and a Master of City Planning from Harvard in 1974.

 

George J. Olah joined Voyager Management in 2004 and is its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Previously he was with Post Advisory Group, which has over $5 billion in assets under management. He was Director of Accounting with responsibility for the financial reporting for the investment adviser as well as nine hedge fund partnerships. Prior to that, he spent nineteen years at MetLife Investors Group as Director of Accounting and Treasurer. George brings extensive expertise in budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, SEC regulation & compliance and designing database programs. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University in 1978 and an M.B.A. from USC in 1989.

Chris Arends joined Voyager Management in 2015 and currently serves as Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Arends started his hedge fund career at Common Sense Investment Management, where he spent 13 years involved with all aspects of manager sourcing, due diligence, monitoring, reporting, product development, portfolio and risk management. As a Partner on the Investment Team, Chris managed a team of analysts and helped scale the long/short fund of funds products to peak assets of over $4 billion. Prior to joining Voyager, Chris held two positions in commercial real estate in Oregon. The first was COO of Pounder Realty, a boutique multi-family investment brokerage, then as Senior Financial Analyst and underwriter for Capital Pacific, a leading West Coast commercial real estate brokerage. Prior to Common Sense, he spent three years in business development and recruiting for Maxim Group, a national technology consulting firm. Chris received a B.A. in Business in 1998 from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR.

 

Ann Pazdra joined Voyager Management in 2005 and currently serves as Manager of Operations for the firm. Prior to Voyager, she worked at Security First Group, a MetLife Company, as Manager of Planning and Analysis. In that role, she was responsible for the company’s annual budgeting and planning process, management reporting for internal and external publics, and processing of external broker commissions.

Meredith Jangaard joined Voyager Management in October of 2005 and serves as a research and operations associate.  She began her role at Voyager assisting the founding partner and providing administrative support. Her role has since expanded to include research analysis and investor relations. Prior to Voyager, her background was in computer technologies and forensics.
